How to Ceck Out / Check In (on the lab Slack)

Instructions for using slack to check out or check in a mic (or check our inventory)

  • To check out a device:

    • Open Slack: http://kentuckyphonetics.slack.com

    • Go to the General Channel for Microphone Checkout

    • On the general channel type out:

      • /do YOURNAMEHERE has "Name of recorder"

      • Example: /do Jennifer Cramer has taken Snuffy to Pike County

    • Press Enter

  • To check in a device

    • Open Slack http://kentuckyphonetics.slack.com

    • Go to the General Channel

    • type: /show

    • Click Complete next to your checked-out item

    • You’re done checking it back in on slack! Thank you.

  • To list everything that is checked out:

    • Open Slack http://kentuckyphonetics.slack.com

    • Go to the General Channel

    • Then either:

      • Scroll up to where your original checkout post was

      • Click Complete on the Little box on it

    • or

      • type: /show
